CENTURY 21 Elite celebrates the extraordinary with The Relentless Campaign. In a community of exciting projects, progressive movements, and exponential growth, relentless leaders and community members are found at its core. The Relentless Campaign aims to celebrate those making waves in the Terre Haute Community by honoring individuals who truly give the word "relentless" it's meaning. This month, we are excited to announce our first honoree of The Relentless Campaign, who is an individual who truly gives 121%.
We are excited to announce that Erik Smith is our first honoree of The Relentless Campaign! We received a nomination for Erik based on his relentless dedication to his community. Erik currently serves as an Indiana State Police Trooper and absolutely loves his job. Erik has a passion to help others and has been described as never knowing a stranger. While dedicating time to his occupation and community, Erik also makes time for his family. Erik has served as an Indiana State Police Trooper for the past seven years. Prior to his service as a first responder, Erik served in the Air Force. His 10 years of service led him to serve in Iraq, Germany, and Japan, with his last deployment being in 2006. Previously at the Indiana State Police, Erik served on the Tactical Intervention Platoon or TIP. Currently, Erik fills many roles for Indiana State Police. Erik is a Field Training Officer (FTO), Firearms Instructor, Camp Director for the Indiana State Police Law Camp, and serves on the Meth Suppression Team. Erik continues to take on new roles at the Indiana State Police, such as his new role as a counselor at the State Police Academy starting in March. In addition to his dedication to his occupation, Erik contributes to his community in many other ways. Erik always looks for ways to better himself and to help others grow. Erik is an active member of St. Patrick's Church and is devout in his faith. Erik also gives hitting lessons to kids to help others in his community grow. Additionally, Erik spends time as a volunteer basketball coach at the Terre Haute Boys and Girls Club and volunteer baseball coach for Riley Recreation League where he is touching the lives of youth in his community.
